One Man's Trash

One Man’s Trash is a project that photographically fuses the wanted and unwanted, desired and undesired, trash and treasure. It is a project unlike any I have done before; utilising a variety of mixed media approaches to create a body of work that emphasises the stark contrast between what our society values and what it doesn’t. The resulting product a bold, abstract series of images. The project consists of photographs of government funded statues and sculptures that have been combined with high resolution scans of discarded items located near the place the image was taken to create bright, visually intoxicating pieces of work that serve as a critique to our throw-away society.
